Furniture for an attic room or a low ceiling

In an attic room the height changes across the room. Measure the height on the line where the front of the furniture will be, not against the wall: the sloping ceiling drops exactly where the back goes.

Low wardrobes

A 150–180 cm high wardrobe still has a rail for shirts and jackets. Mind the assembly: a wardrobe is built lying down and then stood up, and for that its diagonal must be less than the ceiling height.

Under the slope

Where the ceiling drops below 1 m, chests of drawers and low shelving use space that usually stays empty. An 80–100 cm high chest or shelving unit runs along the low wall.
