Sofa dimensions, and will it fit through the door
Each seat takes 60 to 70 cm; the arms add 10 to 25 cm a side. That is why two “three-seaters” can differ by half a metre.
Usual sizes

- 3-seater: 180–220 cm.
- With a chaise longue: 230–280 cm wide and 140–170 cm deep on the chaise side.

Will it go through the door?
A sofa does not go in face-on; it goes in on its side or on end. The deciding figure is the smaller of two: the sofa's depth or its height. If that is less than the clear width of the door, it goes in. A standard interior door in Spain has a 72.5 cm leaf and about 70 cm of clear width; the front door about 80 cm.
Measure the turn in the hallway and the lift too: a 220 cm sofa will not turn in a 90 cm hallway with a corner at the end. Sofas with removable arms solve many cases.
In the living room
Leave 40–50 cm between the sofa and the coffee table. To the TV, 1.5 to 2.5 times the screen diagonal: for 55 inches, 2 to 3.5 m.
